Commandments
God gave us Ten Commandments – and that’s what they were, ten orders, instructions or rules, which we have to follow.
They were not ten suggestions to sit down and debate amongst ourselves and to dilute to suit our purposes.
For example, when He said, “Do not steal” He meant just that. He didn’t mean that pilfering from a supermarket is OK because they are rich and can afford it anyway.
The same applies to the other nine commandments which over the years we have conveniently re-interpreted to suit our modern lifestyles.
